Solid wood is subject to seasonal changes such as shrinkage and expansion. These natural movements can result in cracking, splitting or warping. A buyer of fine solid wood products should be aware of this, and should understand that minor wood movement is to be expected and need not be repaired. However, any extreme wood movement - if such occurs - will be repaired by The Heartwood Joinery at no additional cost. If the piece has been in some way abused, refinished, reworked or placed in direct sunlight, we will gladly repair it at our shop rate. Customers are responsible for shipping charges to and from The Heartwood Joinery.

We reserve the right to minimally alter the dimensions published of our hand-built pieces. If exact measurements are required, please discuss your needs with us at the onset of your project.
