At THE HEARTWOOD JOINERY our meticulous reproductions are handcrafted according to authentic specifications, utilizing traditional Shaker joinery and finishing techniques, like the use of pinned mortise, tenons, and dovetailing. From handwrought nails and period hardware, to the actual finishing, every authentic detail Is painstakingly observed and followed to insure an end product that rivals those who specialized in the reproduction of museum quality Shaker furniture.

Each piece is signed, dated and numbered. Our intention is not to confuse our creations with authentic Shaker artifacts - but to insure that their value as genuine works of art will increase over time.
